THE FIX:

I filled the grip with urethane and chopped fiberglass and used some coarsely threaded screws for the hardware. This is solid as a ROCK and about 10x more solid than the stock one. Pulling the charging handle is simple and provides plenty of support during a skirmish.

I only filled the grip area that comes in contact with the screws and receiver. The bottom plugged storage area is still useable.

ADDED:

STEEL SEAR (engages piston)..this sucker is not a drop-in part...in fact, the shape & length is different enough that it will not work w/o modification to the sear. I have already modified the sear for it to work. Get a more positive catch.
