Any tips on slide to frame fitment?
The slide to frame fitment on my WA is so terrible that it doesn't engage the hammer sometimes. I am using an SD slide and stock frame. Wondering if you guys have any ideas on how to make the slide fit the frame tighter. There is ALOT of vertical play and a bit of side to side play.
Thanks. I was thinking of using jbweld and then sanding it down, but it seems very risky... |

I dont think it's necessarily your frame/slide fitment. The little nub on the bottom of the BBU might be worn down. In any case, you can peen the frame rails to have a tighter fit, just dont overdo it.

RE: Any tips on slide to frame fitment?
there is no nub under the WA bbu, i have 3 of them and none of them have it. I am 100% sure it is the slide fitment now. I was thinking of using JB stik (basically putty) and molding a bit on the rails and then sanding them down. I will do a test run on some crappy springers and see how it turns out.
I don't have the equipment to peen the rails and the lower is pot metal. |

Use strips of a tin can in the needed spots with an epoxy if you must build the slide's chanels.

^ This is correct. Cut the ends off of a soda can, then cut it down the middle. You will then have a sheet of aluminum. You can use a scalpel/xacto/or even scissors to cut the material you need.
