I'm sure there are members here who own and shoot real firearms, so I figured it would be alright if we have a place to discuss the sport.

A belated Christmas present from me to myself! One Marlin lever action Golden 39A chambered for .22LR . Also picked up a case, cleaning kit, trigger locks, gun sock, shooting rests, scope rail, 525 Remington hollow points, and many, many paper targets. I'll post a range report at the end of the week.
I will post a couple. Up first is my Springfield Armory M25 Whitefeather. I used to own three but sold off one of them.
Next is my SIG STR 970 .308 Target rifle
And four of my Kalifornia Legal AR 15 type rifles:
Thats it for now, if you want more there are plenty. I have a couple Smith Enterprise Crazy Horse Rifles that are nice to look at and fun to shoot.

i'm gonna bring my camera to the office (where all the guns are) with me tomorrow and snap some shots to put on here... nothin special, no AR15s yet, but i'm in the proccess of building one.
Nice choice with the Marlin 39 Render! I absolutely love mine.
Well, here's most of my small collection. Definitely enough to suit me though.
-Marlin 39 Takedown
-Arisaka Type 99
-Ruger Ranch Rifle 'Mini 14'.
Here's me at the range the other weekend taking my Ruger out to shoot for the first time. Boy that was fun.

What's the birthdate on that Marlin? I do like mine, but I might just trade it for a Model 1895 guide gun this month. .22's are nice, but I just got my hands on an older 45/70 last month and they are
fun.
My grandfather gave me mine. It was brand new in a box dated 1974. Didn't plan on reselling it ever (heck, my grandfather gave it to me), so I made her my standard .22! Definitely dependable rifles. Main reason why I like the .22's is ammunition's so darn cheap. I sure like firing my other guns, but ammo adds up quick.
What .45/70 did you get by the way? My grandmother just passed an old Springfield .45/70 trapdoor over to my family that was my great great great grandfather's service rifle. Beautiful gun, we just haven't gotten a chance to go out and shoot it yet.
I agree, never even consider selling that rifle.
I'm planning on buying a Marlin Model 1895G:
Just because I love Marlin and I'm absolutely hooked on lever actions at the moment. The 45/70 I got a chance to fire was a Sharps, a reproduction of the 1873 model. The owner also had a Sharps chambered in .50, which is a single shot beast of a weapon. Felt the kick more than anything I've ever fired, including a 12-gauge, mostly because the stock is solid wood and the butt has a metal plate on it. If you've never heard the story of the Battle of Adobe Walls, you should check this out:

I'm convinced that Sharps rifles are among the finest still in production; too bad they cost and arm and a leg.
Hi,
