- AS slide
- hi-capa 4.3 DS frame
- KA 150% recoil spring

And this is what i hope i's gonna be.

The 3D pics are that I've sent to a friend of mine, who has an access to CNC machine, to do the comp for me.

I want this pistol to be accurate, fast recoil and realiable.
many custom parts such as magwell, mag release, Free Float Valve, piston head will be that of Thai custom work.

Advises are welcome

Thanks in advance.
That looks very interesting...might have to steal some of your idea...lol

I love the cutout around the recoil spring plug....Goodplace to get rid of some weight...

Although if the slide is aluminum, the front end of the slide with no bottom and top(hybrid cut) and with all the lightening slots cut in might be quite weak. Although the load we are dealing with here shouldn't be that much...
Thanks RacingManiac
You're right about the slots and weak Aluminum. I put slots one the slide just to match the slots on the Comp
I might have redesign the slots on the slide.
If you use 7075 aluminum I think you could get away with the slots shown in the 3d images. Just don't use it for a hammer.

Gunner
I am assuming he is using an off the shelf slide as a base to modify, in which case he would have to get SD's or something to get 7075. If he were to get 7075 Billet to start it might be even more expensive...
Very nice Pok799. I really like that design. What program did you use to draw that?

As for the amount of cuttiing on the front side of the slide..."Just don't use it for a hammer" - but it is going to be taking a lot of abuse slamming into the comp.

I think it will either deform or crack over time, right at the base of the guide plug hole.
I would just keep the bottom of the slide and comp whole.

I wish some company would make slide blanks for us gunsmiths.
I found a company (only 15 minutes from my house) that just might http://www.pro-type.com/index.htm

I really need to get a mini lathe/milling machine to do more customizing (can't afford a CNC machine Aiwebs_003 )
If you can get enough people or a shop to be interested in this, you can contact someone like ProG4 to do a run a blank slide....but you need like 15-20 or something to make it get into somesort of bulk pricing....Someone on Airsoft Canada is getting them to do a run of Kimber slide(different style then the one they already made) for Marui and he is building a bunch of pistols for sale. Realistically if you can get the dimension and such any machineshop is probably the same, just with someone like those shops in HK they already have all the critical dimensions so you don't have to do the work...

AFAIK the guy also quoted on the blank slide for $150 Cdn each....
I measured and drew the image with 3Dmax.
The slide is airsoft surgeon, i think it's 6061 aluminum, would it be strong enough for all the cuts and slots?
pok799,

I don't think 6061 will take that much cutting, for very long at least. I have to agree with the4thpower3 about keeping the bottom of the compensator in one piece. I believe it will crack in time.
the4thpower3. I used a Harbor freight 46199 3 in 1 machine for years, they run $699.00 at most HF stores even though they are marked $859.00 on the website. I sold mine and miss it dearly. If I come up with another 20% discount on a single purchase coupon I might just buy another.

no autofeed for thread cutting though, but a great little machine just the same.

Gunner
The other problem is you don't even know which 6061 you're getting out of those slides.
If you had it completely custom made of 6061 t6 or 7075 t6 or t651 it would be better.

Gunner, that is exactly the one I've had my eyes on.
I would probably buy it if I had a 20% off coupon.
I've been looking at some others due to the price.
I was trying to stay around $600 or less.
