I read somewhere that the Dash 116 o-ring is supposedly the best to use when replacing your stock o-ring in your AEG's pistonhead. The problem is I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find a suitable replacement o-ring for a standard bore size M4A1 TM AEG? Hopefully Home Depot, since they're close...
I have a local hardware store that has the most AMAZING hardware section I've ever seen, and I've lived in a LOT of "big cities" as well, so that's saying something. If you can't find what you're looking for there, they don't make it. Tongue02

That being said, I routinely change out o-rings of various flavors in all my guns as I need replacements or when tuning. I basically take the cylinder with cylinder head on it, and the piston with piston head on it, when I hit the store. I then sit at the o-ring bins until I find the o-ring that will best fit that set. It's purely trial-and-error with the fitting. With AEG pistons, I basically get the o-ring that will provide me with a very slight drag when installed on the piston head, and slid into the cylinder. I then do a quick compression check by holding my finger over the end of the cylinder head nozzle, and then push the piston down. If the fit is right, it won't go down. Just some information for you. any #14 o-ring should do, but as stated, there may be some trial and error in that.

PS- if the hardware store does not have it, McMaster will, just get something not completely hard.
