Alright i have a question for all you expert builders...I am wanting to know if its possible to build a custom CQB gun..MP5,MP5k,PDW something like that,With custom internal parts that would allow the gun to be"Silent" or VERY VERY quiet with a high ROF, I am new to air soft so if this comes off as a dumb question forgive me...But all comments are appreciated and I would LOVE to build this piece
Thanks
"Silent" rifles/pistols are always something thought upon by newer players. Technically, there are some ways to make a gun "quieter" in airsoft, but if you did somehow do this, you most likely wouldn't find it much quieter then the regular noise. What it comes down to is that not only is silencing an airsoft gun very hard, it's near useless.
For pistols, there are some Non Blow Backs which can be relatively quieter so if you really want to be a James bond thats pretty much your only option.
it can be done with the P90 and Aug, look for hte old CyberAug/Killer Studio write ups for an explanation.

:aiwebs_022:Nice thanks for the info..do I find that on this site...My local shop told me it can be done with a p90 as well and its REALLY quiet
I've tried silencing my P90 before and the results werent too exciting, as the P90 is a quiet gun already, and I didnt get it too much quieter. Well you will most likely have better luck then I did haha. Good luck!
My local Airsoft Gunsmith says he can do it...he said they make parts that are ment to be quiet and he said you can even foam the inside to silence it even more...we shall see
Go for it, and take a look at the suppressor for the double trap series, as that is how they did the Cyber aug internals AFIK.

The "double trap" was less of a suppressor and moreso a barrel extension. The CyberAUG utilized similar in the sense that the shroud was ported.
As for AEG noise, Ive noticed the easiest sound to pick up is the mechcase "screech" so naturally the worst built AEGs are the easiest to find in the field.
I'd suggest to make the mechcase run as smoothly as possible before doing anything such as body foam and suppressors.
