TRADERS AIRSOFT FORUM
TASF Practical Shooting Postal Match Rules and Regulations:
Most rules, regulations, and formats will be loose interpretations of AAPS’ (American Airsoft Practical Shooting Federation) standardization. Please familiarize yourself with all of AAPS’ website and review all aspects. The matches held and described here in will be informal and geared towards practice in (APS) Airsoft Practical Shooting. These matches will be held in fun and strive towards the growth of this sport including people under 18.
If you are over the age of 18 and live anywhere in the US, we highly recommend you join AAPS http://www.aaps-federation.org/index.html and compete in their postal matches.
Pistol Divisions:
Pistols will be split into only 2 divisions, Open and Standard. Very basic classing to keep things simplified.
Standard Division Pistol:
Any pistol under 5” length (most standard size stock pistols) with open/iron sights. This is limited to full auto weapons. Full Auto pistols may compete only if select single shot fire is usable. Fiber Optic sights are allowed. Red Dot sights and scopes are NOT allowed. No limitations on power modifications.
Open Division Pistol:
Pistols over 5” length. No length limit (but NO silencers/suppressors allowed). Any sights or optics are allowed. NO lasers.
Flashlights maybe mounted but may not be used during competition. No limits on power modifications.
Rifle Division:
All AEGs are in this division on their own with virtually no limitations.
This is a Pistols or Rifles competition. If it’s not a pistol it is considered a rifle. SMGs are considered to be rifles.
All other rules, regulations, and formats will follow AAPS’ standards.
Postal matches operate on the honor system, therefore it is very important that all participants follow the rules. We are here to grow and learn not to cheat!
