Thanks, I did the grip myself with a soldering iron using hkssr's guide and LOTS of time. I'll post better pictures tomorrow.

I like the short length of the 4.3 because it's really manuverable when moving through courses.

Very nice guns guys. Krame I liked the red grips, they looked good and nobody else seems to rock them. The black does look really good though.
The Nines - I am really liking the all black and the stippling looks pretty cool. Good job. How does the element v-fin hop up work for you. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use one. I never have...is that specifically for Hi-capas? Where'd you get it? - Hope you get to shoot some post matches soon.
HKS - I like that comp - does the inner barrel go to the end of it? The frame doesn't quite match up with the comp though. Do you have any further plans for it?

The Element hop up works well, and is only $8 which is $15 cheaper than the Firefly that I bought. Results are simillar. I bought it from rsov.com. It's normally for TM AEGs but I modified it to fit.

For the grips I wanted to do something different. Here's some pictures of the same gun with my old black/silver setup. I was inspired by all the stippled grips I see on this forum, but my solder iron only has a sharp tip and not a rounded tip so I couldn't make the lines as wide as I wanted. So I just made an alternating "pinpoint" design using the sharp tip. The stippled part is only where my hand touches the grip, that's why the design wraps around the right side of the grip and then ends on the left side looking like fingers. The part under the trigger was left smooth and rounded out so my middle finger sits snug against it. The checkering on the back I left stock for contrast.

The idea is that this way I can train my hand the correct grip posture draw and draw again using touch alone. The whole grip is custom fit to my hand so it makes consistent draws easier. I hope to shoot a postal soon!









Do they even make black magwells?!?!?

This is the gun in its current form as of today. I added a PDI 7" 6.01 precision barrel and a JP Rifle compensator.





Does anyone know where I can find a black magwell? Otherwise I will just get a silver one and paint it.

Wow those are two Hot pistols you have built yourself. They both look wicked nice. To bad I prefer the WE magwell over the magwell on the 4.3, but oh well still looks nice. The black SD grips on the Executive is a nice touch, too bad there is no red SD grips available I like your Executive with the red. Also nice stippling on the 4.3 stock grips (WE by chance?).

The slide and frame on this gun is very good, nice and tight with mininum wobbles, shooting at 350-370 using green.
