My first topic here, hope this helps people.

My primary motivation for the lipo in the stock tube method is actually not performance based. I just don't like having batteries in the hand guards or battery box.

I came across KWP's post on arnies about this method and decided to buy one to try it out. Turns out with the 11.1v packs you can't collapse the stock fully unless you modify the innards of the stock tube.

I decided that I can live with only being able to collapse to the 2nd to last position; and then cover it with a recoil pad. Attached are pictures showing the lipo in A&K's s-system LE 6 position stock and CA 5 Position stock. I do believe that there exist some 7.4v packs that will allow you to fit in the tube and be able to collapse the stock fully.

Here are the pictures

that's an interesting idea, too bad you can't drill a small hole where the stock attatches to the body so that you can run a wire through that and possibly not have to use the buffer thingy.
Anyone know of a U.S. retailer (other than poweredge) that's carrying these batteries? I'd be interested in trying one out.
Funny, I was just wondering about stock tube possibilities myself. Does anyone know if an AK-style battery will fit in an M4 carbine-length stock tube?
I think it would be too long, but don't take my word for it. But here's a link of where you can get them. Not to mention Free shipping and about half the price of Poweredge's prices on some batteries.

Yep..the Firefox Li-Po's at ebairsoft have been phenomenal in my Prime based LR300's. They are the only ones i have found that will actually fit into the top part of the heat shield/hand-guard of a Prime LR300 kit. That one pictured in this persons post is the one I've used in our two LR's.
