I am interested in purchasing the CP scw2 extended firing pin in hoping to solve some light strike problems but i already have the prog4 hammer set with a steel firing pin. My issue is that some of the CP parts seem very similar to prog4 and was wondering if prog4 is the OEM of CP?. The extended firing pin is about 0.5mm longer than the stock. I am planning on ordering from dentrinityshop or uncompany.

ProG4 is just another middle man shop that sells the same stuff under the "ProG4" brand. A lot of the parts branded differently came out of the same machineshop(or shops). ProG4 just accomodate more in terms of custom ordering, something that's not available as the other brand does not have a custom storefront.
Ah ok. So is the CP extended firing pin different from the prog4 one and is actually extended?
there are 2 extended firing pins for CP Custom: extended and super extended or something like that. The longest one they have is very slightly longer than prog4's extended firing pin. Hasn't made much of a difference between the two in my guns.
Sorry, I thought this was for magna... they are both the same for cp custom.
I've found that extended firing pins actually hinder the movement and believe that the light strikes are due to just that, hindered movement.
I have like 6 that got shelved in favor of their stock counterparts.
Anyone willing to sell or trade me one.
I've only needed to use the SCW2 CP brand firing pin on a couple of occasions, but both times they went in fine without snagging on the magazine valve. The same cannot be said of all brands which can be too long and cause problems.

Guarder and PGC off the top of my head.
PGC's is 0.9mm longer than WA's, no experience of the Guarder - I can only recommend a brand whose length and shape works I personally know works.......CP in this case.
