Guys,

Apart from lightening the BBU (piston) there is another method to reduce the blow back power. Some vent holes are cut to 'vent' out some gas thereby reducing the blow back effect.

Has anyone done this? I'd like to see some pic of where to cut / drill hole?

I plan to use propane for obvious reason, good power at cheaper price. However I do understand that propane will 'kick' the slide harder for the recoil. I think above above mod will give the plastic slide a littler longer life.

Thanks.

regards.
you can drill little holes into the loading nozzel to vent gas, but that would require a lot of tuning/ trial and error. but again, its just not worth the effort.
you want to build a japanese steel challenge race gun, you need plastic slide, plastic bbu (nineball or zebra6), platic piston head, and use r134 gas. you can use duster gas - buy in bulk at costco/ price club/ bjs or whatever.
plastic parts are bound to break using propane.
