So I've been having a problem recently where my outer barrel keeps getting stuck in the forward most position when the slide goes back so the gun jams on every shot.

This only happens on all my SCW type mags, but on my only magna mag it works completely fine.
Parts list on the upper that could be causing the problem:
BA kit
BA chamber
Guarder OB
Creation Barrel Bushing
prog4 steel bbu

Also the mag catch is a magna one if that makes a difference.

gun is SCW2/3
also worth mentioning is that all my mags have prime gas route buckings, including the magna one.
Maybe it's something with the scw mags instead of something on the slide. Don't know if the magna mag catches are the same as the scw one's but it would make sense that magna mag catch works with magna mags and possibly not work with scw mags.
I just can't figure out why the outer barrel is not moving backwards when the slide goes back. The problem only really started when I installed the steel bbu. To me it seemed like the two mag catches were the same dimensions but I'll double check.
start swapping out pieces to find the culprit.

Thats my usual MO.
i think, from my limited experience, that because u are using the prog4 steel BBU, which is a bit longer, causing the chamber to get stuck

if that's the case, u need to sand the front of the BBU, and that's no fun since i did that to my kimber
That makes sense, I'll shave off a mm or two. Still though I don't see why a magna mag will work but a scw won't.

I would swap it out, but my stock bbu blew a hole through the back which is why I had to get a replacement.
the magna mag works because the shape of the mag itself is a bit different than the SCW one, that's why the old magna mag will not work with the prime MBK for SCW series

make sure you take very little material off the front, slowly (well, you will cuz that stainless take forever to sand down)

and how u blow a hole through the stock BBU, that's amazing!
My steel hammer kept hitting the nub where the firing pin would be on a real 1911

Then one time while shooting the little nub cracked off and there was a hole in the back of my bbu. Sigh... Money pit WA
