Have you reverted to alll stock parts? or slowly replace the upgrades with stock parts (mix n match)? What type of firing pin are you using?
Actually, the problem started with stock parts. I didn't have cash to purchase a bunch of parts at once so i slowly replaced each bit. I don't have most of the stock parts anymore as they either broke or i sold them off. I'm using the prog4 hammer set which has a prog4 scw2 firing pin. I would like to try and solve the hammer strut and msh issue first before i touch other stuff because thats the only thing that seems off right now.

I have a new grip and msh coming in so hopefully that'll do something....
I don't know if this will help, but I got this info from airsoft-barracks.com.

Quote:In WA's newest SCW3 version, light strikes are prevalent due to the shape of the new firing pin that was added. With the new pin, the striking surface slips off the valve head when fired, causing the valve to depress just enough to drop the bb out of the barrel, the slide will also not cycle back. This is seen more once you start upgrading the pistol, the addition of an SCW3 upgraded firing pin will make this problem even worse limiting your ability to even fire off a full mag without at least half a dozen light strikes on the valve head. Most WA "junkies" will agree, if you plan on buying an SCW 3 pistol and upgrade it, pick up a CP SCW2 hammer/sear set to replace the SCW3 firing system. be sure to note, if you switch an SCW 3 system to an SCW 2 system, you will need an SCW 2 leaf spring as the SCW 3 leaf spring will not work in SCW 2 pistols.

WA has seemed to stop the sear binding issues that were problematic in the SCW 1 and 2 systems by cutting away "excess" material on the hammer sear in SCW 3 systems, problem being, they did this to the series that has the most light strikes. Unfortunately, to solve light strikes, you must downgrade the pistol to previous SCW version. Which means you will not be able to use the SCW 3 "cut away" sear with the SCW 2 system.

Is there a tutorial on identifying the different WA gas blow back systems: Magna, SCW1, 2, and 3? Does Western Arms or aftermarket vendors still make OEM parts for old WA guns?
I'm using scw2 with prog4 hammer set like stated in the first page.
Alright so i recently installed a pgc extended scw2 firing pin and unfortunately, nothing changed. I'm open to suggestions before i call it quits. Heres a total parts list of the gun so far:

SD Expert 6.0 Slide
Guarder Infinity Chamber
Guarder outer barrel
Prog4 Hammer set
King arms 150% spring set
PGC extended scw2 firing pin
Prog4 aluminum piston
Prog4 copper floating valve
There some other external parts that i added but shouldnt affect function.
