I just bought a TM G18... I was just wondering does TM G17 upgrade or stock parts will fit the G18?? I know the slide doesn't fit cuz the G18 has the selected fire switch...
thanks
Ed
My guess, the springs, and the spring guide, barrel parts, frame(maybe), slide catch, mag release. That might be it.
I have G17 inner barrel, hopup, frame, magcatch and springs coming....
Loading nozzle, floating valve, release valves too
Loading nozzle is NOT the same, the G18C's nozzle on the cylinder part is actually not round but a D-shape, since the top part of the slide has been cutout to emulate the weight saving cut on the G18C.
As a result the BBU is entirely different and so is the actual piston head and nozzle, aside from the fact that it also houses the select fire mechanism.
have you guys had problems with the aftermarket hammer springs not working on propane filled mags?
I have installed guarder 150 hammer springs, and sometimes the strike on the valve on warm mags(not hot)are not enough to cause blowback.
Are there any stronger springs out there?
That is odd because a 150 spring should be plenty strong. Too strong in my opinion as it causes rough slide action. I've had no problem opening a warm mag with propane with a modified stock hammer spring that is only slightly stronger than stock and def weaker than 150. Check for binding and such in the hammer mech.
I am using the 150% Guarder and have had no issues with it. Though I don't know what you would consider as warm mag. I've always had light strike issue with TM Glocks when it gets over maybe 25 deg C on propane. Which is why I use upgraded hammer spring.
