Ok, as Jerry suggested I am opening an "Official Firearms Discussion thread". I think a few of the members here are versed enough in the world of Firearms to openly discuss it and maintain a civil attitude.
If you have any questions or comments or want to talk about anything Firearms this is the place to do so. As well as if you see any objectionable content or something you just want to throw your .02 in about in the bartertown leave it here along with a link to the thread so that everyone knows what it is you are referring to and to keep barter a little more clutter free.
This is also a great place to post pics of your build(s) if you have any to go along with the thread "The Gun Club"
If this is out of line in anyway, notify me and I will delete the thread... Any input is greatly appreciated.
With that, post away.
I'm spent. I don't know what I'm taking about.
Tagged for future knowledgeable posts.

I love the spikes logo!
And let me tell you, for the price, their LE completes are great quality. Comparing to higher end brands of my friends.
I've built three ARs based on them. Two standards and a 6.8. No complaints and their customer service is great.
The only probelm I've ever experienced with a rifle strangely was an LMT. So I'm biased against the higher end.
Someone who really knows will eventually come and check my position.
Noveske are a great brand, but I believe them to be a tad over priced. Especially if you want the fun of customization.
All skepticism aside, the nicest rifle I've ever fired and handled(fell in love with) was an LWRC.
The price on the m6a3 model is absolutely justified. If not for build quality alone, than for purely aesthetic purposes.
What is their logo exactly? It looks like a spider or something..
What issues did you have with an LMT?? Surprising.
Noveske is great, and you're right a little over priced on some, and on others reasonably priced... Like $125 for a cylinder with a cone in it? I mean sure its great and does awesomely for what its supposed to, but it cant be THAT much to make one.. Especially when mass produced.
Honestly, the only problem with the price on the Noveske N6 rifle is that you could and would probably spend the same amount if you bought the parts separately and built it from the ground up (And I mean same parts, not lower or higher quality) the only thing being is that what happened to the base? If you replaced the receiver, barrel, handguards, stock ect... You could resell them to earn back a little cash.
LWRC's are cool, but never handled or really been that fond of... Now the HK416 is a different story *drool*

-Jammed two shells in the pipe in one day. But it was shitty brass.
With the same brass however, my spikes ran through the day. Same twist and all.
The HK416 is tits indeed, but I don't think we could ever get our hands on one. Maybe I'm wrong.
I prefer to dream about what I can obtain. It keeps me focused in an otherwise shit job!
In the pudding-

Not me. I'm just as ugly but not as fat. Helped influence my decision though.
There's civi versions of the HK416 IIRC. The HK556 is the 416 civi version and the 417 being the HK762
Pretty ingenious with the names their, eh HK
The civilian version of the HK416 is actually called the MR556:http://www.hk-usa.com/civilian_products/mr556_general.asp
Always a good discussion:
14.5" midlength (with permanently fixed muzzle brake) vs. 16" midlength??
Honestly, I don't see a big difference between the two... For me I'd prefer 14.5 with perm flash hider just to be as short as possible in Cali.
Can someone provide me with some insight?
Worked for one of mine. I was told by someone I trust that's is "legal", which essentially means "not illegal".
Can't deal with that pistol bs, but I wanted variety.
By no means take my word for it though.
Some argue that the FPS lost with the 14.5" barrel is significant enough to justify sticking with a 16" while others say its negligible.
With BCM's new 14.5" middys hitting the market recently, this setup is quickly becoming more and more popular.
That 1.5" difference in barrel length is said to be very noticeable as far as handling goes.
I am in the process of deciding between the two and always like to hear other peoples thoughts on the matter.
Either way I will have my AR built by the end of August.
Understandable. It depends on what I am using the gun for, if I am just going to a range and popping off some rounds or doing 3 gun I would definitely do 14.5" with pinned flash hider. If I was doing some longer range and target shooting I'd go with a 16" and a KAC TTB
