It's nice to see a gun of that caliber being used to skirmish too.

I think that a little wear makes a 1911 like that look even better.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. It started pretty much as a stock gun, but the upgrades kinda snowballed as I had to fix things here and there.

What grips are those? Personally I would go for brown wood grips with Colt medallions.

mag release, main spring housing, slide release are anvil parts already

Yeah first thing I noticed on the gun was the anvil thumb safety.

You should try taking the picture with the flash off to capture the look of the silver colt medallions.

i need better grips, and i am polishing the slide to make it shine

oh, and the thumb safety are Sheriff

Got some incentive to make this gun more finished, fitted a Kimber outer barrel from SD and did a better fitting to slide and barrel.....we'll see if its for naught.....
