I'm trying to find a practical shooting match somewhere in the USA the north eastern part would be best. Why is there no Airsoft division at IPSC nationals?
and yes I plan to enter the aaps postal matches but I would like to shoot at a "real match".

I don't know if they've been adopted in any matches....While IPSC is popular elsewhere and Airsoft form might be more accessable in some countries, in US people are probably just doing the real steel stuff....
As far as I know, there are no IPSC type airsoft matches in the northeastern US. I'm from NJ and most of the games I've heard of in the tri-state NY/NJ/CT area are of the milsim type. I know of two indoor cqb facilities in NJ, but no place to do ipsc type matches. It seems everyone else is into gearing up and running around in the woods. I built 4 race guns in the past 6 months and nowhere to play with them, except in the backyard.

If you (or anybody) would like assistance in organizing a match (either AAPS sanctioned or not), please let me know and I'll do my best to help you. AAPS can help you with course design, match organization, and other areas. Also, our Range Officer Program should be open within a month and can certify RO online.

Thank you Chris rc_dude and I are trying to put something together. Starting small and then who knows what will happen. Our biggest obstacle is finding a location to have the tournament.
Targetsonsight hosts small IPSC events at Evike every other Saturday. However, we have been down a while as we are trying to coordinate a larger event in mid August.
Chris, If you could send an Email to my boss J.C. @ JC@Targetsonsight.com I'm sure he would appreciate any insight you may have. I hope we can get IPSC for Airsoft popular in the US. Having events to go to every weekend would be awesome!
