are there any box/drum mags of any sort out there that will fit this gun? (with or without modification to the gun or mag?) I'll tear apart a 470 hi cap to make a drum, but i'd rather not.

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. seems to be the correct place to me at the moment.
M14 RIS is a DMR...it's silly to slap a drum mag on that gun.
yes, but i'm not in airsoft for the mil slim side of things, and I'd think a drum mag on it would look pretty cool. I'm a weird one. After i get the funds to do it. that M14 will have a bi-pod on the bottom ris, a surefire light on each side ris, and a nade launcher on the top ris (with a scope, if i can find one that will raise above the launcher). It's going to be the weirdest looking m14 out there.
I haven't ever seen any M14 drum or box mags. I'm pretty sure you would have to make one yourself out of an M16 style mag and a donor M14 magazine shell.

BTW at a game last week I mounted my G&P M203 ontop of the RIS on my M249 Para. Looked silly but it worked great. finding scope mounts that high will be tough, you might need a picatinny riser too.
true, but I'm hoping to find a red dot or something similar that has a riser already on it.
There's an M14 boxmag on WGC...
Thanks for the post, doesn't look quite as cool at a box shaped mag would but I'd buy it either way.

There for the TM m14, I've read on different sights that the echo 1 m14 only is compatible with UTG m14 mags and vise versa. Is this true or can the E1 take a TM mag?
You need to shave/file some of the mag off.

care to tell me how?
i know it will probably be obvious when i buy a TM mag, but i'd still like to know ahead of time.
Quote:I found that when fitting my AGM magazine into my UTG you had to sand just a little bit on the back of the catch tab (the protrusion on the rear of the magazine) and a good bit on the underside of the catch tab. However i only sanded the underside as much as i did because i find it easier to reload by latching the back first and then tilting the magazine forward to lock the front.

Lastly do not over sand the underside of the catch tab. If you do so your magazine will wobble like crazy.
