For the sake of finding what we are looking for:
1) split barter section into WTS, WTT and WTB (3 sections).
2) Have a section for gear, guns and other.

Good idea. A non-airsoft sale subforum wouldn't hurt, either.
I'd hesitate to add that, Craigs list and what not can take care of anything else, this was set up for airsoft after all.

That's right. Once the verification process is settled upon, sales area breakdowns will be setup, and bartertown will continue to exist as the spot for unverified members to continue to do deals in. These will be totally unsupported by staff though.

How about allowing members to close there own threads, keeps them from having to bug a mod after a deal
The reason certain features are not available to certain member groups, is for record keeping. If we allow members to arbitrarily close or remove threads, it's pretty hard to use existing postings as evidence in the event of a dispute. This allows us to keep a clear record of what was posted on the site. It's no big deal to request a thread closure, simply submit the request.
