Looking to build a 4.3 with a straight barrel and bushing setup, but hate the cut at the base of the barrel.
Was there an aftermarket company that made them with it?
What purpose does it serve?

I always wondered that too, there are cuts in almost all stock barrels that I've seen on WA's gun, you don't think the cuts are there to save a little bit of material and cost?
One would imagine the amount saved would be offset by the cost to remove it.
Maybe it's there to use if the barrel gets stuck on the chamber.
Edit for above: Looking for a barrel WITHOUT it. Commander size if possible.
I believe I've found one in the length I want.
Not sure it they make full sized types without it. But it wouldn't matter as the portion wouldn't show.
