thanks for the praise. . .the pictures explain alot about the Ver2 mechbox/MC51 lower stuffed into a Ver3 gun..but lmk what you'd like to know. . .things just happened to work out as I planned.

One of the key issues is, a new nozzle has to be made because the ver2 mechbox sits further back into the upper receiver. .so a std. length AEG nozzle will be far too short to reach the hop up unit. That longer SP89 nozzle is illustrated.

My favorite detail of the gun was changing the selector lever/trigger group to "0-1". The MC51 already has "0-1-20". But I didn't just erase the "20".. . I also shortened the "guide & stop" of the selector lever. ..meaning, the lever travels from "0" and stops at "1". True semi auto like the RS SP89.

Most airsoft SP89s out there use a MP5k and slap on a SP89 forend...but in reality, SP89s do not come with an A2/SEF or Navy lower. . you can PUT one one, but they just don't..because the SP89 is a civilian semi-auto only version of the MP5k.

I'm still working on a functioning bolt. . properly finish that AFTER I install a metal receiver on it (I have two sitting in storage).

I don't care how old this post is. but I love your craftsmanship man. wow. I love the sp89. My pops has one and he used to let me shoot it when I was a kid. Also fro what I remember, the SP89 does not have a sling mount on the rear. its just welded or cleaned out to prevent the attachment of a sling for concealment.

I love that can on there, i always liked the smooth lines of the vp70, but that can just makes me like it all that much more.

looks GREAT! hows the performance? skirmish worthy? i might consider adding one of those to my arsenal, keep things different.
