Here my friend’s is the second version of the Rico 9 Tactical Illuminator by Lumens Factory and I think it’s fantastic!

From what I understand it’s an improved design of the Surefire 910a (flame suit on) for less than half the price. I know Surefire is the standard but Rico manage to bump the lumens and the battery life using the same power source.

Build wise the Rico is off the chart! It is a real steal accessory and it shows. The grip ergonomics are on point the paddles are intuitive same with the button for the low light LED’s as well. It just a very comfortable well thought out design.

The main light is T6061 aluminum and the grip is tensile high strength nylon composite and both feel indestructible. It locks on the your RIS via two thumb screws that feature a flat tip center lock so you don’t lose them after removing the grip. Its little things like these that really show the fore thought put into this device.

Well none of this matters if it isn’t bright and there no disappointment here! Your Airsoft buddies will be cursing you after they been temporarily blinded as you got the kill. I think 250 lumens are just about right after killing my own night vision in my testing (DOH)!

The beam is more yellow that my Phoebus LED light but the Phoebus only being 65 lumen the 250 lumen Alpha 9 is much brighter.
I really like the RICO's. I've been thinking of getting one, but have been putting it off. I just sold my Surefire M961 (it was new and only used 3 times ..had it in my safe at home for emergency self defense use) for $240. I'd like to have the RICO or M900 though, due to it's obvious usefulness and the way it mounts.
this thing cost $198... I will rather get the surefire

Yeah...I regret selling the Surefire M961, but at the item I didn't need it anymore. I'll be getting another one in the near future. I'm actually looking at the HellFighter X series tactical lights right now to see how I like them. Very nice stuff!
