There's been a huge influx of spammers in the past few months and they all seem to be either the same group of people or coming from the same place. I see other forums using CAPTCHA during registration to filter spammers. Maybe this feature might help....

Plastik,

Thanks for reporting all the spam you find. Keep it up! I'm currently doing some research into this issue to see what, if anything, can be done to curb it. Currently, registration requires email verification in order for anyone to even post, which means these spammers are legitimately registering accounts. CAPTCHA won't prevent this, because technically, they are following proper registration procedure.

I do apologize for not being around more, but due to a lot of changes in my personal life, I just haven't had the time to dedicate to this forum. Even the "hobby" of airsoft has been on the extreme back burner. Time will tell whether this will change or not.
No worries. Half of the weird posts coming from the spammers provide some measure of comic relief during my day.
I was thinking maybe there's a way we can confine new members to a small section of the forums lilke General or Workbench until they reach a minimal post count of 30 to open up the rest of the forum to them. This way we keep all the spammers in one spot and legit members can learn and ask their questions about airsoft, gbb, tuning etc to raise their post count. This is a great way to temporarily keep scammers out of the market place as well....
+1 for that.
