Apparently my good Hi-Capa Karma has run out. I am having trouble getting one of my Hi-Capas to feed, and was hoping that the GBB experts here could help me out.

My issue is that the Hi-Capa doesn't pick up BBs when it shoots. The slide cycles, but it doesn't extract BBs from the magazine. It picks up BBs when I manually cycle it, but not when shooting.

When shooting, it also seems to sound a little off. It doesn't sound as clean and crisp as my other Hi-Capas. This originally led me to believe that it was an issue with the valve knocker not lining up with the Mag properly. However, in all my troubleshooting efforts, I have basically swapped all of the internals (and the entire lower) trying to figure out what caused the issue. I think I've narrowed it down to the slide itself. It seems that even with entirely new internals, and a completely different frame/grip, it still has the same issue.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this, and what I might do to fix it?

For reference this Hi-Capa has:
Davidson Custom 4.3. Slide
Airsoft Surgeon Frame
Tanio Koba Tactical Grip
Airsoft Surgeon BBU
Shooters Design POM Loading nozzle (using the stock floating valve)
PDI 6.01 Barrel and Nine Ball Hop-up (but that shouldn't matter, should it?)
Other than that, I think it's stock.

Thanks.

Does it work if you push up on the bottom of mag when shooting?
2 things I've done with both of my Hi-Capa, which both at somepoint had this problem. One was to add a small piece of electrical tape(2 layers thick) at the front end of the BBU. 2nd was to bend the feeding lip on the nozzle of the POM down a little bit. That fixed both guns for me...
It could also be because of the TK tactical grip. What happened to me when I used this grip was was with the grip the mag release button somehow was seated lower so the mag wouldn't be fully pressed against the nozzle. I was getting very low kick and the bb's would have trouble feeding. I switched back to the stock grip and it was fine. Like what the4th said, if u push the mag up does it work? If so then that's your problem. Also your mag release button could be wearing out where it is touching your mags or on your mags where it is touching the mag release button.
Finally got a chance to test this out.

I pushed up on the magazine. Seemed pretty tight, and I couldn't actually move it up any. No change in firing when I did that.

I then put some electrical tape on top of the BBU. Two layers caused too much friction, and it didn't cycle cleanly. One layer didn't do anything.

I'm going to swap the grip, and see if that fixes it. I was starting to come to the same conclusion as Lazyshark. What he describes lines up almost exactly with what I'm experiencing (strange, as I didn't actually see this post until I checked the thread today). I'll check back in again once I get around to swapping the grip.
Excuse the double post, but I just swapped the grip to a Shooters Design grip that I had laying around. The problem persists.
is it short-stroked? if it is, take it out first just to eliminate that factor.
The same problem persists whether it is short-stroked or not.

I haven't had the time to fiddle with it lately, so the problem remains un-diagnosed.
Have you tried a different mag or mag valve?
This happened to me when i put in a sd outer barrel. It would stick locked back some times. i did some filing and it ended up working
