Yeah, Action Air is only modifying IPSC rules - they have not modified that one.

It states barrel porting is not allowed in standard division.

Sauli pointed out: "ports in SD are only "no-go" by the time the hole reaches the bore. You can port the slide and flute the barrel. So if we think of an airsoft gun, all we need to check is that the inner barrel is not ported and it could be good to go."
"A port in the outer barrel of an airsoft gun does not go all the way through to the bore, because the inner barrel is still untouched. It could be compared to a mere recess on the surface of an actual firearm barrel."

So in a sense (depending on interpretation) OUTER barrel porting could be deemed legal in Standard Division of Action Air. And I fully agree!
Besides, the barrel pressure we are dealing with porting of inner barrel does more harm than good I 'd think...
Right - I don't think I've seen anyone port an inner barrel - which means - my "hybrid" ports on my outer barrel are only a way to lighten my barrel (and it truely is).

I'm pretty sure any airsoft organization would rule that a ported outer barrel in standard or a limited class would be legal.

AAPS on acknowledges 2 classes - open and standard. Anything over a 5" barrel is put into Open Class. Any funny as it is, a 6" slided airsoft gun would be at a disadvantage even in standard class. But it was ruled to be open class due to the slightly longer inner barrel is thought to provide a difference in accuracy.... Which at distances under 20ft, I don't think it offers enough of an advantage to be classed as Open. But it does makes it easier to class. IE. Over 5" barrel = Open, Compensator = Open, Red Dot = Open.

Now that I think about it, I don't know why they say compensator at all. Because a compensator doesn't create an advantage.
Hello Guys!
I frequently get asked which brand of paintball gun a beginner should buy?. While i know it always depends on the individual person and the situation,But i am bit confused.please help me..
wtf....paintball gun?...
It is a gun for your practical training of shooting and nothing. The money is better spent on ammunition and practice. It may well compete with it in the limited Single Stack or 10 divisions. Shoot competition with what they have for some time. If you decide that you like and want to learn more, you can then begin to think of new weapons to new divisions.
