I plug in a fully charged battery into my gun and the motor will not crank any of the gears and on some occasions I smell something burning, but upon further investigation everything looks alright in the gearbox I just need help finding the problem. Battery is fine works in other gun, motor seems to be working. is it the wiring, fuse, or I've heard after a spring is used alot it becomes harder to crank back. Any ideas?
-pull out your motor from the grip...hook your battery back up and pull the trigger..does the motor move? Chances are it does if you smelled something burning earlier. That's usually your motor trying to turn over but something (gears) is preventing it so you're on the verge in burning out your motor if you leave your finger on the trigger.

-check your fuse again to make sure you didn't burn it out.

-pulling out your motor also will reset your gears to some point..meaning, you could've had some binding in your gears...and since your motor is only going one way, it's preventing your gears from "relaxing"...

-after you reinstall your motor (and you know the motor and fuse is ok) and find out your mechbox is still not turning over.. . then you need to open your mechbox and reshim your gears. Your gears are likely to be seizing up.

Shimming a mechbox is an artform...do it right and you'll have a trouble-free mechbox that will work for years w/o maintennance.
tried but ended up with same result. motor just wont push the other gears.
you reshimmed?

what spring are you using?

stock CA motor?
