Just want to give you guys a short update on the range test.
On average the effective range is 100 feet before wind starts to affect trajectory. That's still over 33 yards which is very good. The BB's will travel over 150 feet but it will not be accurate.
So I used the gun for a skirmish and I easily take out two guys with a M4. I'm also using a Sanyo battery and the ROF is much better than the cheap stock battery. I highly recommend to use a better quality battery.
I also adjusted the motor height and it fixed the gear winding sound.
Over all I'm satisfy the performance of this gun. For future upgrade I'll install metal bushing and drop a 110 spring. The gears is a type 2 gearbox about the only thing you can't replace is the nozzle.
When I get the chance take the gearbox apart I'll take some pictures. But for now I'm going to keep it stock and use it for a few more games.
Oh one last thing I have to complain but this is really my problem and a learning curve. I find it hard to insert the mag during battle. Front Tab on the mag makes it hard for me to insert as I used to just *Slam" the mag in the M4 mag well. Can't do that on the M14.
