I just recently picked up a western arms 6" expert. It started acting funny shooting full auto. I've replaced the hammer and sear already yet it continues to act the same. I think it could be the leaf spring. Any inputs/advice on what to do next?

I've been looking for the leaf spring everywhere and they seem to be sold out. Anyone know where to find a spare?

Also is the hammer suppose to twitch when you tap the trigger?

I was hoping someone would help me out by now but anyways here's an update. I replaced the hammer and sear and the leaf spring.

Its still reacting the same. First shot expels all the gas.
So it's not firing in full auto, but rather expending all it's gas? There are 2 main things to consider. A broken floating valve, or a bad magazine valve.
Is it possible the block holding down the firing pin gets stuck? The block seems rather loose.
Are you talking about the plate that keeps the firing pin from coming out? If that moves up during firing, it can prevent the firing pin from fully resetting. You can keep it in place with blue loctite on the sides. Let it dry and set before firing again.

Yes sir~!

I contacted AEX about it and they said the first thing is to replace the whole loading muzzle and the o ring. Its possible that it could be busted. The previous owner had a fetish for full auto so he disabled the disconnector i think?
It's more likely that he simply wore it out. It's a common failure with that series. You can get the loading nozzle pretty much anywhere and better o-rings can be purchased from industrial suppliers.

Another update...replaced the loading nozzle. I found that my magazine seals are a bit ripped could that be another factor?
rage quit...found out its the loading nozzle getting stuck under the new metal chamber. Sent it off to AEX.
